Since new models of iPhone and Android come out every year and several generations are often almost as good as the latest generation. You can be completely confident in buying a phone that is a few years old and still get a phone with very high performance, both with processor, camera, screen, etc. 

iPhone

The last generation iPhone 13 came both in standard model, mini and Max/Max Pro. This was also true for the previous generation iPhone 12 which has incredibly high performance and is an excellent phone to buy used. But because Apple has such a well thought out combination of hardware and software, it is perfectly possible to buy an iPhone 8, Iphone X or iPhone SE and get a great phone that will last a long time. When you buy a cheap iPhone, you can also be less worried about it breaking or being stolen, because the risk of theft goes up the more expensive the phone is. Android

Among Android phones, there are both typical flagship models and budget variants that can really be classified as cheap phones. An important thing to check is which Android version the phone has and which version it supports at most. This will give you an indication of how long you will be able to have your phone with full Android functionality. We always have a wide range of accessories and even if you get a cheap phone, it's still a possession that you carry everywhere and can easily be damaged by drops or liquids. A shell or case will help protect your phone from this.
