Choosing a used 15 inch laptop

There are a lot of things to consider when choosing a laptop, but the most important thing is to think through what you want the computer for first. If you need an office computer to use web browsers and Microsoft Office, you're going to need a very different computer to if you need to edit large videos. If you're doing lighter tasks, you can choose any model and be sure to get a competent workstation. 

If you need a computer for heavier tasks like gaming or video editing, you'll need to look at the models with a separate graphics card. Also, keep an extra eye on the weight, as there are 15-inch computers weighing under 2kg and over 3kg - which makes a big difference in the long run. In recent years, the size of a 15" has shrunk considerably as the bezels around the screen on many models have become much smaller. As a result, a 15" laptop now fits into a similar chassis to a 14" a few years ago.
